This weekend, Savage Performance had the honor of playing in the Charlie Woodard Classic. ❤️⚾🥎
From the moment we heard about this tournament, we knew it was something we wanted to be a part of. This weekend was about so much more than baseball and softball—it was about showing up to support the Woodard family and a community that lost someone who meant so much to so many.
Savage Performance was proud to have 6 teams participate—5 baseball teams and 1 softball team—and we couldn’t be prouder of every one of them.
Yes, we are a competitive group. We love to compete, and we always want to play our best. But at the end of the day, this weekend reminded us that some things are so much bigger than the game.
We are also incredibly proud of our Savage Prime 12U team for coming home as Charlie Woodard Classic CHAMPIONS! 🏆⚾
That championship means a little more to us. We now have the honor of hanging a Charlie Woodard Classic Championship banner inside Savage Performance. Every player who walks through our doors will see that banner. We hope it will always be a reminder that Savage Performance is more than a place to practice, train, and compete. It is a place where players become family, where communities come together, and where we show up for one another during the hardest times.
We are proud of our players, coaches, and Savage families who represented us this weekend, but most importantly, we are grateful that we had the opportunity to come together for something much bigger than baseball.
We will continue to keep the Woodard family in our thoughts and prayers in the days ahead. ❤️🙏
