🏀🎉 What a FUN morning at KCS! 🎉🏀

Yesterday morning, our students enjoyed an exciting Buffy Coleman Assembly filled with comedy, amazing basketball tricks, and LOTS of audience participation! 🏀👏

Our students—and even some of our staff—joined in on the fun, making for a morning full of laughter, smiles, and plenty of excitement! 😂🏀

A huge THANK YOU to Buffy Coleman for bringing so much energy and fun to KCS! We had a BALL! ❤️🤍🏀

👮‍♂️ It was a great morning at KCS! ❤️

Our police officers joined us for car duty this morning, greeting our students as they arrived and handing out a little treat. We are so thankful for the support and encouragement they show our students!

We also had a successful practice lockdown drill today. Several officers from the Sheriff’s Department and Constable’s Office were on campus to help conduct the drill, along with KCS school board member and security advisor Mark Rowden.

We are so proud of our students and thankful for our dedicated staff and law enforcement partners who work together to help keep our school safe! 💙👏

🚒🔥 Learning from Our Local Heroes! 🔥🚒

Yesterday, the Kaufman Fire Department brought a fire truck to campus, and our elementary students had an exciting opportunity to learn all about fire safety! ❤️

Our students loved getting to see the fire truck up close, hear from our firefighters, and learn about the important equipment they use to help keep our community safe. They even got a glimpse into what it’s like to be a firefighter! 👨‍🚒👩‍🚒

A huge THANK YOU to the Kaufman Fire Department for taking time to visit our school and make learning so much fun! We are so grateful for the men and women who serve and protect our community! ❤️🚒

There have been LOTS of exciting things happening in Kindergarten! 🌟📚

Our little learners have been busy with their Community Helpers unit, learning about the many people who help make our community special. We were excited to have Pastor Matt visit our classroom and talk with the students about what it means to be a pastor. We are thankful he took the time to share with our students! ❤️

And the fun didn’t stop there! The Friday before last, our Kindergarten friends had an UNUSUAL birthday party celebrating Uncle Ugbee! 🎉🎂

Through this silly and unusual story, the students had fun learning about the letter U and its short “uh” sound. With lots of U words, laughter, and a little bit of silliness, it was certainly an UNUSUAL birthday celebration! ☂️🎈📚

We love watching our Kindergarten students learn, explore, and have fun along the way! 💛

🐾🌧️ STEM in 3rd Grade! 🌧️🐾

Our 3rd graders put their engineering skills to work by building shelters to keep pets safe during severe weather. The rain was absolutely perfect for putting their shelters to the test! ☔️🏠🐶

What a fun, hands-on learning experience!
