Reminder- tomorrow is hay show drop off day! Extension office 4-7 pm.
Hay season is in full swing, and that means it’s the perfect time to collect your samples for the upcoming Mineola Hay Show!
🌾 It’s easy — just fill a feed sack with a portion of your current cutting. That’s all it takes!
🔁 Have multiple fields or cuttings? Send in samples from each! You can enter as many as you’d like. The more you test, the more you know.
🔬 Each sample will be sent to the lab to analyze its nutritive value, helping you improve forage quality and make the most of your hay.

2025 Kaufman County Fall Cattleman's Conference - September 19-
New Location this year - Kaufman Civic Center
Starting to hear a few reports of some army worms in our county. Start scouting now! Best to do this early in the morning when the may be out feeding on the blades of grass. Once it heats up during mid day - it's hard to find them.
