As we reflect on the incredible moments that made our very first year at Cross Elementary so special, one memory stands above the rest—celebrating our first-ever graduating class.

To our 5th graders: thank you for helping shape the story of Cross. As you begin your next adventure, keep showing the world your kindness, courage, and determination. Your future is bright, and we know amazing things are ahead.

Today we celebrate the incredible man whose name proudly hangs above our doors and whose legacy inspires our work each and every day. Mr. Cross’s dedication to students, families, and public education has left a lasting impact on generations, and we are honored to carry that legacy forward at Cross Elementary.

From the very beginning, Mrs. Sanchez has helped shape the heart of Cross Elementary. Her leadership, dedication, and love for students and staff have left a lasting mark on our Cavalier community, and while we will miss her dearly, we could not be more excited for this next chapter.

The greatness of Cross was never meant to stay within our walls, and now that same passion and excellence will continue making an impact at Franz Elementary Firebirds. What a gift it is to watch one of our own step into this incredible opportunity to lead, inspire, and change lives beyond Cross.

Today, we closed the doors on an unforgettable first year at Cross Elementary. The halls were filled with joy, hugs, laughter, a few tears, and yes… some very tired teachers. What started as a brand new school quickly became a family, and we are so grateful for every student, staff member, and family who helped make this founding year so special.

To our Cavaliers: thank you for filling these halls with life, love, and memories we’ll never forget. We hope your summer is full of rest, adventure, and fun. Once Cross Crew, always Cross Crew.
