It’s hard to believe it’s already been one week since our Family Work Day! We’re still smiling thinking about all the families who showed up and rolled up their sleeves to help!

From moving furniture, to hanging whiteboards + bulletin boards, installing blinds, and tackling all the little projects in between, you helped us get our school ready for a wonderful year ahead!

More than the work itself, we’re so thankful for the time, fellowship, and servant hearts you brought with you. Our community is truly better because of families like you who are willing to give your time and lend a helping hand.

If you’re still looking for a way to bless our teachers, there are MORE opportunities! Our teachers could use some extra hands unpacking and organizing their classrooms as they get settled in. If you’d like to help, we would love to have you!

Our hearts are full after a beautiful week together! Teacher In-Service was a special time to prepare, learn, grow, and reconnect as a BCA team. More than anything, we were reminded to set our minds on Christ and trust in the Shalom, Shalom, His perfect peace.

We are so grateful for our faculty and staff and the love and dedication they bring to our school. We’re ready and excited for all that God has in store for this year!

We are excited to welcome Mr. Clay Gatlin as Berean Christian Academy's new Executive Director!

Mr. Gatlin brings more than 35 years of experience serving in ministry, education, and leadership, but what stands out most is his heart for Christ and for investing in people. He is passionate about creating an environment where staff are equipped to flourish and students are formed in truth, goodness, and beauty.

When he's not serving schools and ministries, you'll find him enjoying mission work, spending time with family and friends, golfing, or traveling.

We are grateful that God has brought Mr. Gatlin to BCA, and we look forward to the wisdom, encouragement, and leadership he will bring to our school community.

WOW, Praise God! We have officially moved to our new permanent campus!

What a feat to finish up the school year and move out of 30 classrooms, 10 office spaces, and 2 shared spaces all in one week. We could not have done it without our beloved, hardworking BCA team, parent volunteers, and community. BCA is founded and built on servant leadership, and it was on full display this week.

So many people jumped in and went above and beyond to make this move happen. From removing whiteboards and patching and painting walls, to moving play structures, basketball goals, mowers, and picnic tables. People took multiple truckloads to donation centers, filled over six dumpsters, loaded trailers and backseats with boxes of curriculum, dropped off lunch for the team, reorganized furniture, and cleaned out the new space. And after 14 U-Haul truckloads, we are officially moved!

Thank you to everyone who jumped in, big and small, and shared your time, sweat, and strength with us. It is truly our honor to work alongside each of you. If you weren’t able to help this time, don’t worry, we will have more opportunities this summer and fall to be a part of serving together!

We are incredibly grateful for our four years at First Baptist Katy and look forward to making lasting memories at our new campus, 2225 Porter Road, Katy TX!

For 10 years, God has faithfully guided and sustained Berean Christian Academy. What began as a vision for Christ-centered education has grown into a thriving school community rooted in Christ, grounded in His truth, and sustained by His grace. We pause with grateful hearts to remember all He has done.

And as we look ahead, we do so with great expectation and hope for what is still to come.

More faithfulness.
More growth.
More lives shaped for Christ.
More glory to God.

“So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in Him, rooted and built up in Him… and overflowing with thankfulness.” Colossians 2:6-7

What an incredible way to close out the school year! From our Kindergarten Bridge Ceremony, to beautiful end-of-year programs, to Commencement Chapel, this season has been filled with joy, celebration, and gratitude. One of the most special moments was hearing the BCA Alma Mater sung for the very first time as we celebrated our graduate and all God has done in and through our school community these last 10 years.

We praise God for the lives that have been shaped, the friendships formed, the lessons learned, and the memories made this year. To God be the glory for who He is and all He has done!

Yesterday BCA welcomed a very special guest, Governor Greg Abbott. The governor shared a special story with the students, describing how he used his relationship with God to strengthen him when he was just 26 years and suffered a life changing injury. The students and teachers were blessed by this short visit and gathered afterward to pray over this important leader.

Ten years of BCA’s annual Living HIStory Day - a day to come together, compete, and remember that we serve a God who does not change. The weather may not have cooperated, but all students still came together to participate and celebrate one of Berean’s most fun traditions. 🌈
