Evenin’, Jags!! We’re halfway through the week and wanted to make sure we dropped a few delicious reminders for Friday. Tomorrow is the deadline to donate a plate for our amazing staff luncheon on Friday. If you find yourself getting hungry at any point during the day on Friday, especially when you think about how much you love WestMo, we have a delicious way to show that love: eat at Fuzzy’s Tacos & Margs! Mention WMJH when you order lunch or dinner (or happy hour or snacks. We don’t judge!) and 10% goes back to our jags!

On Friday we had the joy of celebrating our campus volunteer of the year with hundreds of others from across the KISD community at the district volunteer celebration.

We are so proud of Dianne Corn and all the work she’s put in over all her years, not just this one. As a school employee, she took on infinitely more than her job description because that’s just the heart she has. She’s dependable, loves others, and cares so deeply for the school. We are so lucky to have her!

Congratulations, Mrs. Corn and thank you so much for all you do!!

Welcome to the final push of the school year, Jags! Next week is teacher appreciation week, where we do our best to rejuvenate our teachers after all the testing and keep them going for the final weeks of school. We know you love our teachers, too, but you’re busy! Here’s a quick and easy way for you to show some love to your favorite educators. You can sponsor a plate for their luncheon next week! Let a teacher know how lucky we are to have them.

The WMJH PTA nominating committee has met and we are proud to announce the slate for next year’s PTA executive board. Please join us at our membership meeting on Friday April 24 at 5:30pm, before the end of the year performances, to either run from the floor or vote for these individuals.

Today we had the privilege of announcing Ms. Carroll Ann Adams as our Lifetime Membership Award recipient this year! The lifetime membership award is the highest honor that Texas PTA can give its volunteers and we were thrilled to honor Ms. Adams! She is a shining example of a beautiful partnership between parents and teachers. She is always the first person to join PTA on August 1 each year. She generously contributes every time we have a potluck style event. She is the most vocal champion of PTA and our mission among her colleagues. She is a treasure and we are so lucky to have her!

Hi Jags! It feels so early to be thinking about next year, but I know y’all have all been working on course selections for next year with your students so it’s already on your mind. One of the high schools in our feeder pattern would love to have some jag parents on their PTA board. Interested? Fill this google form out!

🤍 XOXO Award: Recruit and upload 14 new members
🤍 Double Up Difference Maker Award: Recruit 14 more for 28 total new members by Feb. 28

Hint: 14 by the 14th, then double it by the 28th.

Prizes:
✨ We’ll draw 4 Local PTAs, and each will receive 2 LAUNCH registrations (8 total registrations).
✨ We’ll also draw 1 Council to receive a 2-night suite at LAUNCH.
