Proud and excited our students went the extra mile and thought to write the author.
Back in December during our "Heroic Feats" module, we read about the Battle of the Alamo. One of our students thought it'd be really cool if there were an "I Survived the Battle of the Alamo." Fast forward to our formal letter writing module, some of our students decided to use their formal writing letter skills to write to Mrs. Lauren Tarshis suggesting this great idea. Today, they received letters back from the author and we were so excited we had to share!"

Last week 5th grade GT students shined when they were able to show staff, students and their families what they learned this year about geological forces, neuroscience and oceanography. We are so proud of their hard work and enthusiasm for learning!
