Congratulations to the BDJH Honor Band. The recording of their contest program placed second in the TMEA Region 23 Honor Band listening this week and advances to the Area competition!

Our band and color guard members are some of the most well-rounded students on the Seven Lakes campus! This past weekend, Band Director John Mays got to throw out the first pitch to senior bass trombone player and Drum Major Austin Hassmann. In addition to band, Austin is also a member of our Varsity Baseball team. Each player was able to pick their favorite teacher to throw out the first pitch at the game! Great job Mr. Mays and Austin!

Congratulations to the Concert Band and Symphonic Band who attended the UIL Concert and Sightreading Evaluation this week. Both bands received the Sweepstakes Award, earning first division Superior ratings from every judge. Go Bears!
