By providing an environment that challenges and nurtures each child’s development, our students are able to discover their strengths and respect each other’s differences. After School Program:
After-school activities are important for a variety of reasons -- they help students socialize, get needed physical exercise and learn different talents and skills. The Afterschool Programs Study found that regular participation in high quality afterschool programs is linked to significant gains in standardized test scores and work habits. Katy GT Academy (KGTA) provides superior before-school, afterschool and summer learning programs.

What an incredible success our Kids Farmers Market turned out to be! 🎉

We are so proud of every young entrepreneur who participated. For many of these kids, this was their very first time selling to real customers, and they absolutely amazed us with their creativity, confidence, and enthusiasm!

Our young vendors offered an incredible variety of products, including:
🍋 Fresh lemonade
🧋 Boba tea
🧸 Squishies & stuffed animals
💎 Handmade bracelets
🍪 Homemade cookies & cheesecake
💪 Protein bars
🃏 Trading cards
🥕 Homegrown vegetables
…and so much more!

The biggest reward wasn’t just the sales—it was watching these young entrepreneurs learn to communicate with customers, solve problems, handle money, and build confidence. Some of the kids even earned nearly $100 in just one morning!

While many participants were students from Katy GT Academy & Montessori, this event was open to all children in the community, and we were thrilled to welcome young entrepreneurs from different schools and backgrounds. Our goal is to encourage every child to dream big, be creative, and experience the excitement of entrepreneurship in a fun and supportive environment.

A heartfelt thank you to all the families, shoppers, and volunteers who came out to support these amazing kids. Your encouragement and purchases meant so much to our young vendors.

We can’t wait to host the next Kids Farmers Market and welcome even more young entrepreneurs! 🌟💚
