Outstanding Participation Award | A Special Honor 🏆

We were honored to have the highly respected Great Master Shi Xing Hao present the Outstanding Participation Award from the Longhorn International Wushu Kungfu Championships.

We are sincerely grateful to Master Hao for his recognition, kindness, and continued dedication to the traditional martial arts community. Receiving this award from such a respected master makes it especially meaningful.

Most importantly, this award belongs to our students and families. Seeing our kids’ faces light up when the trophy arrived was a wonderful moment. It represents their hard work, courage, teamwork, and the families who support them every step of the way.

It now stands proudly in our school as something our entire group can share and be proud of.

Thank you, 🙏 Great Master Shi Xing Hao, and congratulations to all of our students and families. 🏆

Sanda Warriors | Longhorn International Wushu Kungfu Championships 🥊🔥

What an incredible experience at the Longhorn International Wushu Kungfu Championships!

Iron Wire Martial Arts brought 14 fighters to the Lei Tai for our first Sanda tournament, competing alongside some talented fighters and experienced schools from across the martial arts community.

Our team participated in nearly 15 fights, including competitive and exhibition matches, and came home with:

🏆 8 Gold Medals
🥈 4 Silver Medals
🥉 1 Bronze Medal

But the medals are only part of the story.

I’m proud of every one of our fighters who stepped onto the Lei Tai, tested their training, supported their teammates, and gained experience that simply cannot be duplicated inside the school.

And our team wasn't alone! Nearly 50 family members, parents, students, and friends came out to support our fighters and brought incredible energy to the event.

Most importantly, To Master Yi-Yuan Lee to whom I respect entirely, and total respect to every fighter, coach, team, and school that competed. Win or lose, it takes courage to step onto the Lei Tai, and we appreciate everyone who shared that experience with us.

A special thank you to Grandmaster Shi Xing Hao (释行浩) and everyone involved in bringing the martial arts community together for such a great championship.

14 Fighters. 8 Gold. 4 Silver. 1 Bronze. One incredible experience.

Jeff Hunter’s Explosive Sanda Fight | Longhorn International Championships 🥊🔥

I’m extremely proud of my student and disciple, Jeff Hunter, for his performance at the Longhorn International Wushu Kungfu Championships.

Jeff has been training for a little over two years, and it was great to see his training come together on the Lei Tai. Using rapid strikes, forward pressure, and ring-outs, Jeff was able to secure the victory in a very impressive performance winning each round in 10 seconds.

Much respect to Jeff Hunter on an outstanding victory, and all our respect to his opponent, coaches, and the other team for stepping onto the Lei Tai and sharing the experience with us. That mutual respect is what martial arts competition is all about. 🥊🙏

The Longhorn International Wushu Kung Fu Championships opened with an incredible traditional Lion Dance, filling the venue with the thunder of drums, cymbals, movement, and energy!

A powerful way to begin a full day of Chinese martial arts, bringing together Kung Fu and Wushu schools, competitors, masters, coaches, families, and friends under one roof.

🥇 Gung Ji F**k Fu Kuen | Longhorn International Wushu Kungfu Championships 🐅

Proud to see one of my disciples take home gold performing Gung Ji F**k Fu Kuen (工字伏虎拳) at the 2026 Longhorn International Wushu Kungfu Championships!

Gung Ji F**k Fu Kuen, commonly translated as “Taming the Tiger in the Gung Pattern,” is one of the oldest and most foundational forms of traditional Hung Gar Kung Fu. It develops the foundation of the system through strong stances, powerful bridge hands, body structure, rooted movement, endurance, and traditional Hung Gar power.

Seeing the next generation train, preserve, and proudly represent that tradition — and bring home gold — makes me incredibly proud.

🙏 Respect & Appreciation for Master Ian Lee! Yi-Yuan Lee

It was an honor to share this moment with Master Yi-Yuan “Ian” Lee, someone I have tremendous respect and admiration for.

Master Lee is a multi-time national and international Sanda champion, longtime Team USA Sanda Head Coach, and a leader within USAWKF.

He has spent decades not only competing at a high level, but developing athletes, representing the United States internationally, and helping grow the sport of Sanda.

This was Iron Wire Martial Arts’ first time competing in Sanda, so having our young fighters stand alongside someone who has contributed so much to the sport made this picture especially meaningful.

What I respect most is the man behind the accomplishments—professional, humble, supportive, and genuinely dedicated to the martial arts community.

Thank you, Master Ian Lee, for everything you have done and continue to do for Sanda and the martial arts. We appreciate you! 🙏🥊
