Recently our Water Operations Licensing students were given a behind-the-scenes tour of the Fort Bend-37 Water Operation facility. They got a first-hand look at the equipment, control rooms and special tasks a Water Operator performs. Students even got to hear from one of our very own former KISD Water Operations students, Mitchell, who now works full time for Inframark as a Water Operator. It's been a busy week in the kitchen for our 2nd year Culinary Arts students! From a demonstration given by our fantastic guest chef, to perfecting sautéing skills and prepping to open the quick service counter for our Miller students and staff, these students have been hustling. Good luck to our 1st year Culinary students preparing for their ServSafe Certification exams!

Who says learning can't be fun? Our Clinical Rotations instructors made this week memorable for their students while preparing them for upcoming BLS/CPR certification exams, even holding some friendly skills competitions. Shoutout to our newest assistant principal, Mr. Newsom, for being part of a CPR team and showing the students how it's done. Good luck to our students taking certification exams next week!

You'll get to meet the instructor and explore the program, as well as the hands-on opportunities available, including a potential paid internship! See the flyer below for more information.

Here are some highlights from the fantastic summer camp our campus hosted last week. Our campers look like they had the best time and our teachers are already starting to plan for the next one! Thank you to all of the business partners who volunteered to come out and talk to the students throughout the week. You are a big part of making this event successful!

Congratulations to the first class to complete the Water Operations Licensing Program with Katy ISD! Through a partnership with Inframark, these students had the opportunity to gain hands-on experience participating in paid internships while learning about daily water operations. Recently Inframark held a signing day, offering these students full time paid positions within their company. Good luck to all as they enter the workforce and begin their post-secondary journeys!
