🌟 Empowering Youth with Essential Life Skills! REAP, in partnership with Serenity and Wellness Oasis and Rotary clubs , is implementing a one-year Social and Emotional Skills Training Program for 20 vulnerable youth at the REAP Vocational Training Center. Through weekly interactive sessions, participants are developing essential life skills, including self-discovery and personal growth, effective communication and active listening, conflict resolution, healthy relationship management, resilience, and responsible use of technology. 💡 Beyond vocational skills, we believe young people need confidence, emotional resilience, and strong interpersonal skills to succeed in life and the workplace. This program is helping our youth build a stronger foundation for personal growth, meaningful relationships, and a brighter, more independent future. 🙏 We sincerely thank Serenity and Wellness Oasis and Rotary for partnering with REAP to empower young people and help them reach their full potential.

Empowering Youth Through Digital Skills! 💻🌱 Since the beginning of September, REAP has opened the doors of its Multimedia Center to young high school graduates in the Musha community, providing them with an opportunity to strengthen their computer and digital skills. The three-month training currently has 12 young graduates enrolled. We believe that gaining practical digital skills will help increase their employability and open doors to new opportunities for their future. At REAP, we remain committed to creating opportunities, building skills, and empowering young people to thrive in their communities.

📚✨ Celebrating Literacy, Creativity, and Young Readers! ✨📚 On Saturday, September 19, 2026, Rwanda Education Assistance Practice (REAP), together with our partners, parents, and children, celebrated Literacy Day through a joyful day of reading, storytelling, drawing, and writing. 🌟 95 talented children were recognized for their achievements! • 90 children who excelled in reading and storytelling received school supplies. • 5 children who demonstrated outstanding creativity in drawing and writing stories were also recognized. These awards are more than gifts—they are an encouragement for children to keep reading, writing, telling stories, and expressing their creativity. ❤️📖 Through the Mobile Library Program, REAP reaches approximately 700 children every weekend across 9 reading sites in the Musha community, helping nurture a culture of reading and strengthening literacy among children. We are proud of these young readers and storytellers and grateful to our partners, parents, volunteers, and everyone who continues to make these literacy opportunities possible. Every story read. Every story told. Every child inspired. 🌱📚

🎓 A New School Year Begins in Rwanda! 🇷🇼 Monday, September 8, 2026, marked the beginning of a new school year across Rwanda, and REAP schools proudly joined the Ministry of Education in welcoming learners back to school. At INEZA Academy Early Childhood School, we were excited to welcome 21 new students, alongside 44 returning students. We are grateful for the opportunity to nurture, educate, and inspire these young learners as they begin another year of growth and discovery. 🌱📚 Our INEZA Vocational Training Center also opened its doors to 20 young people from vulnerable backgrounds, who will receive a full year of training in tailoring skills and social-emotional skills. 🧵❤️ At REAP, we remain committed to providing quality education and practical skills to young Rwandans, empowering them to build brighter futures for themselves, their families, and their communities. Together, we are investing in Rwanda’s future! 🇷🇼✨

🎉 Celebrating Talent, Leadership and the Joy of Community! ⚽🌟 As students prepare to return to school next week, 40 students from the GLOW Club (Girls Lead Our World) and 80 students from the Ineza Football Academy came together to celebrate the end of their holiday activities. The celebration was filled with joy, including shared snacks, inspiring messages from REAP leaders, and the distribution of school materials to support students as they return to school. 💜 GLOW Club – Girls Lead Our World brings together girls and equips them with leadership skills through a three-year training program designed to help them become confident leaders and positive change-makers in their communities. ⚽ Ineza Football Academy brings together young football talents and provides them with training and mentorship as they work toward becoming future professional footballers. Today’s celebration was also a special opportunity for the Ineza Football Academy players to celebrate their achievement of reaching the semi-final stage of the district football competition. Congratulations to our young athletes! 👏🏆 At REAP, we believe in creating opportunities where young people can learn, lead, play, and grow. 🌱

🌟 A Vibrant Day for Young People at REAP! 🌟
On 28 August, REAP brought together around 500 young people for a vibrant community event combining health awareness, mental well-being, HIV prevention and testing, and youth talent. Young people enjoyed inspiring performances from Urwerane Traditional Dance, Ineza Gymnastics, a Fashion Show Group, and artists from Kigali—celebrating creativity, culture, and talent. 🎶💃🤸🏾‍♂️ The event also created space for important conversations about family conflicts and mental health, as well as HIV prevention and knowing your status. ❤️ A special appreciation to our partners, health professionals, performers, volunteers, and everyone who made this celebration possible. Together, we are creating a space where young people can learn, connect, stay healthy, and shine! 🌱✨

Learning Never Takes a Break! 📚✨
While many students are enjoying their school holiday, 93 children are spending part of their break building skills that will shape their future.
Four days each week, REAP teachers lead exciting learning sessions where students develop:
📖 Story reading and comprehension
🗣️ Conversational English
📚 English reading skills
💻 Multimedia skills
🎲 Fun literacy games and interactive activities
These sessions create a joyful environment where children gain confidence, strengthen their communication skills, and discover the love of reading through play and collaboration.
