Mrs. Fuller's Introduction to Software Technology students have been putting their coding skills into action through the Georgia Tech Computer Science Rural Initiative!

Last week, students participated in virtual sessions focused on Intro to Robotics, learning how programming can be used to control robots and solve real-world challenges.

This week, they’re taking what they learned and putting it to the test by programming their own “Waymo-style” autonomous robot car! It’s been a great hands-on opportunity to connect coding, robotics, and technology of the future.

We are so proud of our Warhawks who were recognized at today’s Houston County Board of Education meeting. Congratulations to our Kendrick and Shaniya, who placed 2nd in the nation in their FCCLA Chapter Service project.

We also want to congratulate our AFJROTC cadets! Our male and female fitness teams both placed first at the Fitness Nationals competition in Daytona last spring. Also, the female Raiders team took first place at the Army all-service National Raiders competition.

These kids are shining examples of making excellence the standard, not the goal.
