🌱 From Brazil to the Classroom: Sandro’s Journey Through Science, Resilience, and Teaching
When Sandro arrived in Hawaiʻi from Brazil, he spoke no English and dreamed of becoming a physician. His journey took unexpected turns—from HTIC to scientific research and, eventually, to a career teaching biology.
Today, Dr. Sandro Jube draws on those experiences to help his own students recognize their potential. His story is a powerful reminder to stay curious, be resilient, and take a chance—even when the path ahead isn’t clear.

HTIC has announced that the college will conclude operations in September 2029.

Admissions remain open, with final intake periods planned for April 2027 (CP) and April 2028 (LA). Students may continue to enroll until those dates through scheduled intake terms.
