Our first off-island day trip was a success! We spent the day at learning about and appreciating the history, courage, and sacrifices made by so many.

Mahalo nui loa to the team at Pearl Harbor for making this a memorable experience and for taking care of us along the way!

Our Spirit Week theme last Wednesday was called “Word Play Wednesday,” where students dressed up as a pun or idiom.

For example, when someone uses the idiom “I’m on cloud 9,” (s)he’s very happy about something. However, literally dressing up as this idiom might look like someone standing on a cloud in the shape of a 9.

February was one for the books!

Our upper graders dove into their Reading Month and served the community with a Valentine’s garbage cleanup. The lower graders celebrated the 100th Day of School in style and learned how to use an old-school triple beam balance. We wrapped it all up with Spirit Week! The grand finale? Flip It Around Friday—where students switched teachers and classrooms for a day full of fun and fresh perspectives.

Onward to our final 3 months of school!
