We’ve lost a member of the CTK class of 1976. I was in cub scouts with Frank and played baseball with him as well. Rest in Peace, Frank.

A Celebration of Life for Jim McNamara
09/18/2022
It is with much sadness that I share that Jim McNamara passed from this life last week. He was a member of the class of 1976 for all eight of his elementary school years and also attended and graduated from Bishop Ward High School. I understand that there will be a service planned in the future (most likely in Louisburg, KS, his home for the past many years) and I will post details as they become available.

The class photo is in the downstairs hallway in the older part of the school building, between Mrs. Bernardi’s 6th grade classroom and Sr. Johanna’s 4th grade classroom. It obviously has seen a lot of light and is quite faded. 91 students! We were a large class! A thanks to CTK Socialites for a wonderful Alumni event this evening, complete with school tours.

This was from 14 years ago, but I thought that I would post it, since I found it:

At my parents' house I found a Christ the King Parish 50th Anniversary commemorative book which was published in 1990. Here are lists of the Benedictine Sisters and lay teachers. I highlighted the names of those that would have been there from 1968/1969 (when we were in first grade) to 1975/1976 (when we were in 8th grade).

Who recalls toilet paper rationing? I remember Sr. Mauricita and another nun standing at the bathroom door and handing each girl one square of toilet paper. And it was a very thin square!
