KC Music Academy’s new owner is Beci Lankford and husband Allen!

I’ve known Beci since 2004 and couldn’t be more confident that she and her delightful family are the perfect fit to ‘take the reins’! She currently teaches a tremendous number of students and generously introduces them to group seminars, competitions, festivals and so on…things that I wasn’t even aware of?

I’m positive that her young energy, along with many fresh and innovative ideas, will brighten the ‘very green’ 🤣 hallowed halls of KC Music and it will continue to be THE FUN PLACE TO LEARN MUSIC!

Me comfortably retiring = KCMA instantly growing and thriving for YEARS TO COME! 🎵

Our studio enjoyed group lessons during the week of Thanksgiving! We used fun and unique ways to practice rhythm!

Our fall group lessons were a blast! We enjoyed the beautiful weather while playing music games outside!

Summer fun at piano lessons! Today’s students drew clefs and notes and played “Music Twister” with sidewalk chalk!

YEAH!! Piano lessons have resumed! Some students are learning online and some in person with lots of safety precautions. We are so excited to be playing again!!

We had some very unique group lessons this week! The composer of our method book series, Jennifer Eklund of Piano Pronto, did Master Classes over FaceTime with us! It was so fun chatting with her and getting some tips! Thank you to the students who were willing to perform for her — that can feel intimidating but it is so rewarding!

My favorite music store has moved! I’m spreading the word so everyone knows where to find them! This is the place to shop for instruments, rentals, and repairs plus music lessons!!
