One year ago today, my first children's book, All the Possibilities, came into the world. It's hard to believe how much has happened since then.

The inspiration for this book started when I was a 5th-grade student visiting the University of Notre Dame. That experience made me feel like anything was possible, and I wanted to share this spark.

Over the past year, I've been humbled to see this book become so much more than a children's book. It has become a teaching tool, a conversation starter, and a source of inspiration for young readers as they dream about their possibilities and discover the many paths available to them after high school.

This first year has been filled with incredible milestones:

✨ Visiting classrooms and after-school programs

✨ Participating in a book fair and leading an author workshop

✨ JE Dunn purchased books for the Kansas City Public Schools classrooms (thank you!)

✨ Being featured in KC Hispanic News, VoyageKC, Bold Journey, the Kansas City Business Journal, and a leadership podcast

✨ Receiving thoughtful feedback from educators, families, and students

✨ In the running for the International Latino Book Awards (fingers crossed!)

None of this would have been possible without the people who believed in this vision.

Thank you to LaunchCrate, illustrator Beck Muñoz, every educator, counselor, community partner, and reader who welcomed this book into their spaces. Thank you to the young readers who shared their ideas, questions, and feedback—you are the reason this matters.

And a special thank you to my husband and children, whose love and support carried me through every step of this journey.

As I celebrate this first birthday, I'm also looking ahead. One of my biggest goals is to have *All the Possibilities* translated into Spanish so that even more children and families can see themselves reflected in its pages.

To everyone who has supported this book during its first year: thank you for helping me show young people that their futures are full of possibilities.

Wrapped up my final school visit of the year with an incredible group of 5th graders! 📚✨ These students already had so much knowledge about college and careers, and we built on that through All the Possibilities, meaningful conversations, and fun trivia games.

One of the most rewarding parts was hearing students share that they wanted the book to continue learning and felt even more excited about their future journeys. Looking forward to sharing All the Possibilities with even more students next school year. đź’™

From one author to another 📚✨ Meeting Dr. DeAngela Burns-Wallace was such an inspiring reminder that leadership, storytelling, and community impact all go hand in hand. Grateful for the opportunity to learn from leaders who are making Kansas City stronger and motivating others to lead with purpose. ”

Honored to be included in the Kansas City Business Journal’s “20 to Know: Education” series.

This is a really meaningful milestone for me, and I’m grateful to be alongside so many people doing important work for students, educators, and our community.

I’m proud to be part of PREP-KC—working to strengthen systems that expand access to meaningful career pathways for students across Kansas City.

And it was especially meaningful to see my book, All the Possibilities, included in the feature.

Had an amazing experience speaking with students at The Hub Argentine about my book! Watching them draw and dream about their future selves was powerful, joyful, and full of possibility. Pouring into my own community makes my heart full 🤍. Thank you to the staff for the opportunity!

Being on debate teams in high school and college taught me how to think critically and find my voice.

That foundation grounds my purpose today. My book is another way I use my voice to create ripples—as I help young readers think about their futures and push systems to better support what’s possible.

Grateful to share more of that journey in Bold Journey Magazine.

Spending time at Notre Dame de Sion Grade School was such a joy! I loved reading my book with the students and talking with them about the many possibilities their futures can hold. Their curiosity, excitement, and big dreams were truly inspiring.

It was also a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow authors who share a passion for encouraging young readers and thinkers. Grateful for the warm welcome and for the chance to spend time with such bright, thoughtful students! 📚✨

I loved talking with the 7th grade class at Guadalupe Centers Middle School about all of their possibilities! The students asked great questions about being an author and education paths after high school.

Thank you to Holy Name Catholic School for inviting me to share "All the Possibilities" with all of the amazing K–8 students. Their curiosity, questions, and reflections made this experience incredibly meaningful as we talked about my book and education pathways after high school.

I was especially touched by a full-circle moment—my former 6th grade teacher shared photos from my very first college visit to the University of Notre Dame when I was in fifth grade. That experience is what inspired me to write this book.

The students’ feedback stayed with me:

“This book can help a lot of people in their future.”

“This book gives you courage and confidence.”

“I learned that you can be whatever you want to be.”

“Today I learned not to be afraid to ask questions.”

“We learned to never give up.”

This is why it's not too early to have these conversations. Every young person deserves to see—and believe in—all the possibilities ahead of them.

To see my story, my book, and my purpose in print over several pages…
it’s more than a dream — it’s a reminder of all the possibilities kids deserve to believe in. 💛📚

Grateful for every hand, heart, and hope that made this moment real.

Books can open doors—for all of us.
