Paseo Pirate, Brandon Calloway, graduated with his executive Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Rockhurst University. This is a huge milestone that he will forever appreciate, as well as the people that constantly pushed him to take this step. Congratulations Brandon! The best is yet to come.

Paseo Pirates made HISTORY on Sunday, May 3.

Our first‑ever Multi‑Year Reunion for Paseo Academy's Classes 1993–1999 — including the 30‑year celebration for the Class of 1996 — brought generations of Pirates back home in a way our school has never seen before. The joy, the laughter, the storytelling, the reconnecting… it all reminded us why Paseo will always be family.

Guests were welcomed with warmth and pride by Paseo Academy’s Interim Principal, Luis Hinjosa, who set the tone for an afternoon rooted in legacy and community.

Guests were also invited to tour the building, revisiting the classrooms where friendships were formed and memories were made. Many were seeing the newly remodeled auditorium and gymnasium for the first time — spaces that beautifully honor the school’s past while embracing its future.

The celebration was powered by:

Forveles Stokes (DJ Chosen), who kept the vibe alive with a perfect blend of 90s classics and feel‑good tracks.

Dan Ulledahl and his wife, Sarah, owners of Chops BBQ, who catered the event with mouthwatering food that had everyone going back for seconds.

Entrepreneur extraordinaire, Quentina Henry, who blessed the room with her delectable treats that disappeared fast.

And of course, none of this would have happened without the dedication and persistence of Jeannette Nienke and Melvin Brown, both proud members of the Class of ’96. This was the first reunion of its magnitude in Paseo history — and they made it happen.

Here’s to honoring our past, celebrating our present, and building our future.

Once a Pirate, always a Pirate. 🏴‍☠️❤️🖤💛
