Barstow School Alumni

The even graduation year team took home the W at our annual Alumni Soccer Game on Saturday! It was a hard-fought 6-4 victory. Thanks to the 30 alumni who came out, 28 of whom were coached by honorary alum Scott Huppe!

Lights, Camera, BELIEVE! 🎬 Congratulations to Brad Jarvis ‘11, who served as the B Camera and Steadicam Operator for the Kansas City scenes in season 4 of Ted Lasso.

“My favorite moment of the shoot was the scene of the entire cast walking down the hallway at the KC Current stadium,” Brad said. “It was a very technical shot that we originally planned to do on a dolly, but when we were in rehearsals Jason had the idea to do it as a ‘oner’ on Steadicam (which means one shot without cuts). It was just a surreal moment as a fan of the show but also as a native to KC to film the episode in KC with the amazing cast and crew.”

It was great seeing Sara Bancroft ‘84, Emilie Gratwick ‘84, Ben Hard ‘84 and Yuko Sekiguchi Nishimoto ‘82 a couple of weeks ago! Yuko was visiting KC from Japan for World Cup festivities and joined Barstow friends for a tour of the school and IDEA Space. Thank you for stopping by!

Friends from the class of 1982 recently reunited in northern Minnesota on Lower Whitefish Lake. The long weekend included a boat ride, pontoon cruise, wonderful meals, conversation and no extra sleep!
