Shout out to Victoria Leal, a student in Dr. Danley's Creative Activities and Physical Movement course on providing an excellent example over the shape reflection given as an assignment. The "Shape Reflection " is a great way to formatively assess what students learned over the topics covered and read. The prompts can be reworded to meet the content and student needs.
Heart= One thing you enjoyed learning
Triangle = What were three things you can use in your future classroom?
Square= What were 4 important things you learned over the module and/or assigned readings?
Circle= What are 4 key words to summarize your learning?

The students had to use a note taking strategy of their choice: Cornell Notes, Outline, or Doodle Notes. Afterwards, they used their notes to write a reflection.
