Our graduates are highly sought after and over the past 10 years, 95% were hired immediately upon graduation. Avila alumni are currently working in school districts and agencies in the Kansas City metropolitan area, across the nation, and around the world. Our graduates are prepared to enter the workforce with the knowledge, skills, and confidence necessary to employ the latest educational technologies with children and youth.

Shout out to Victoria Leal, a student in Dr. Danley's Creative Activities and Physical Movement course on providing an excellent example over the shape reflection given as an assignment. The "Shape Reflection " is a great way to formatively assess what students learned over the topics covered and read. The prompts can be reworded to meet the content and student needs.

Heart= One thing you enjoyed learning
Triangle = What were three things you can use in your future classroom?
Square= What were 4 important things you learned over the module and/or assigned readings?
Circle= What are 4 key words to summarize your learning?

Students in Dr. Danley's Creative Activities and Physical Movement course selected an article of their choice to read over four different topics covered. The students had to use a note taking strategy of their choice: Cornell Notes, Outline, or Doodle Notes. Afterwards, they used their notes to write a reflection. Tling Hne chose the Cornell Note method and Sydney Fisher chose the Doodle Note method. Shout out to these future teachers!
