United Soccer Coaches was established in 1941 with 80 initial members. Today, United Soccer Coaches is the world’s largest association of its kind with 30,000+ individual members, 2,000+ College Services Programs and 297 Member Clubs. The association generates more than $7 million in annual revenue and invests the majority into the Convention ($2.5 million), education programming ($2.3 million) and membership services ($1.5 million).

As we celebrate our 85th Anniversary, we look back at the leaders who guided the association through the 1950s and helped expand the sport's reach across colleges, universities, and communities nationwide.

1952 — Fred Holloway, SUNY-Cortland
1953 — Glenn Warner, U.S. Naval Academy
1954 — Carlton Reilly, Brooklyn College (N.Y.)
1955 — Eric DeGroat, North Carolina State University
1956 — Charles Scott, University of Pennsylvania
1957 — John Eiler, East Stroudsburg State University (Pa.)
1958 — Huntley Parker, SUNY-Brockport
1959 — Don Yonker, Drexel University (Pa.)

These leaders helped strengthen the foundation of the association during a decade of growth and opportunity. Their dedication to coaching excellence and the advancement of soccer helped position the organization for continued success in the decades that followed.
