Time outside gives children opportunities to climb, balance, run, dig, observe, and investigate. These experiences support physical development while also encouraging curiosity, confidence, problem-solving, and independence.

Sometimes the best lessons happen with dirt under your fingernails! 🌱

They want to make the “biggest chequerboard equation ever!” But our chequerboard is too small…No problem! They’ll just make a bigger chequerboard!!!

This is an example of the human tendencies being displayed in the elementary child: Self-perfection through big work; association through cooperation; and communication through group work!

✨ Montessori emphasizes tactile learning, even for reading. Whether using moveable alphabets, tracing letters, or following along in a story, children engage multiple senses to strengthen literacy skills.

✂️ Scissor work isn’t just play—it develops hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, and concentration. Children practice patience and precision while gaining independence and confidence.

An Elementary student works with a grammar box—physically building sentences to explore parts of speech and how language works. When students can touch, move, and manipulate concepts, grammar becomes concrete, meaningful, and even fun.
