FALL TEACHING ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: MARLEINA BROWN
Meet Marleina Brown, one of our AWESOME ballet teachers! Marleina teaches everyone from beginners to advanced dancers. If your child takes ballet with Marleina, they will learn traditional ballet technique and artistry in a fun, inclusive, come-as-you-are environment.

FALL TEACHING ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: KAYLA SANDUSKY
On Wednesdays this fall, Kayla will be teaching some super creative theatre classes! Tiny Theatre will give your 3-6 year old an exciting introduction into the world of theatre, and her Make-a-Play classes allow elementary and middle schoolers to explore their own creativity by writing and producing their own play!

Today's teaching artist, Brie Henderson, LOVES makeup! If you take her class you will learn to love it as much as she does! In Makeup Application at KCYA, students will learn how to apply makeup for stage, camera, video, and film– everything from everyday makeup, to glam, to cosplay. This class is for ages 11-17 and meets Wednesdays from 6-6:50pm!

Meet our improv teacher, John Mulvey! In John’s classes, students will learn to think quickly, build scenes collaboratively, and develop confidence through games and exercises that encourage spontaneity, creativity, and active listening. Improv I is for ages 6-8 and meets Saturdays from 10-10:50am. Improv II is for ages 9-11 and meets Saturdays from 11am-noon. Improv III is for ages 12-17 and meets Saturdays from 12-12:50pm!

Welcome KCYA Teaching Artist Brandon Scalf! Brandon is new to KCYA this year, and is teaching some very exciting new classes. Today we are highlighting Introduction to Stage Craft, a class where your child can learn about set design, lighting, stage management, and everything that goes on behind the curtain in a theatre production! This class is for ages 8-11 and meets Mondays from 6-7pm this fall.

Want to learn about acting this fall? Enroll your child in a class with Kayla Sandusky at KCYA! Kayla teaches three different acting classes for children ages 7-17!
