DCF Childcare Assistance Information
We want to make sure all families are aware of the opportunity to apply for DCF (Department for Children and Families) Childcare Assistance.
This program can help significantly reduce the cost of childcare for qualifying families, and we strongly encourage every family to apply, even if you are unsure whether you will be approved.
Many families are surprised to find they qualify.
Kansas Income Guidelines (General Reference):
Kansas uses monthly income limits based on family size. Current maximum gross monthly income limits include:

Here are the current DCF maximum gross monthly income limits:
• Family of 2: $5,171/month (~$62,000/year)
• Family of 3: $6,388/month (~$76,000/year)
• Family of 4: $7,605/month (~$91,000/year)
• Family of 5: $8,822/month (~$105,000/year)
These are initial eligibility caps, meaning families at or below these amounts may qualify.
Why apply?
• Income limits are higher than many families expect
• Eligibility is based on multiple factors, not just income
• It can significantly reduce weekly childcare costs
Steps to Apply:
1. Visit the Kansas DCF website:
https://www.dcf.ks.gov
2. Select Apply for Child Care Assistance
3. Create or log into your account
4. Complete and submit your application
(Include all household and employment details)
5. Submit any requested documentation promptly
(Examples: pay stubs, work schedule, etc.)
6. Watch for updates from DCF regarding your application status
Important Reminder:
Even if you believe you may not qualify, we highly encourage you to apply. The process is straightforward, and approval could significantly reduce your weekly tuition.
