Meet our 2026 SAA Public Relations Chair: “Hi everyone! My name is Crosby Cox and I’m going into my second year in the AuD program at KUMC. I’m originally from Kearney, Missouri, and graduated from KU before coming to KUMC. My passion for audiology grew when my little sister got hearing aids and I was able to see how much they changed her world. Outside of school, I love going to concerts, spending time at the lake, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. I’m so excited for this year and can’t wait to help create fun events and opportunities for everyone in SAA!”

Meet our 2026 SAA Program Director: Hi! My name is Baileigh Payne and I’m going into my second year. I’m originally from Fayetteville, AR and got my undergraduate degree from KU. After graduation, I worked for a year at a private practice where my love for Audiology was solidified! I have absolutely loved being at KUMC and I’m excited to start clinical rotations this summer! In my free time, I love to hike on weekend mornings and explore new places in KC!

Meet our 2026 SAA secretary: Hi everyone! I’m so excited to serve as this year’s Executive Board Secretary! I’m currently in my second year of the program, and before jumping into the world of audiology, I spent my undergrad years at KU (Rock Chalk forever).
I fell in love with audiology during my ASL classes, where I saw just how important it is to advocate for the hearing‑impaired community. That spark turned into a passion — especially for pediatric audiology, where I hope to make the biggest impact.
When I’m not studying or taking meeting minutes with glitter‑gel‑pen precision, you can usually find me: trying out new coffee shops, hunting down the perfect sweet treat, spending time with my family and friends

Meet the 2026 SAA VP : “Hello everyone!! My name is Audrey Hampton and I am a second year AuD student. I grew up in Denver, Colorado and attend CU Boulder for undergrad. I first found out about audiology in undergrad. Even though I went in to go the speech path, I came out with a passion for Audiology. My time at KUMC has been amazing and I can’t wait to see what the future holds. In my free time I love to explore KC in anyway I can!“
