๐Ÿ„๐ŸŒพ On April 23rd, our 1st graders had an unforgettable day on their field trip to Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead! ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽฃ

Students had the opportunity to explore, learn, and have fun through many hands-on experiences throughout the day. They saw a variety of animals, learned interesting facts about farm animals and pets, and even got to feed some of them! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ“๐Ÿฆ™

Some students enjoyed fishing ๐ŸŽฃ and others learned about Native tribes in Kansas and interacted with artifacts to better understand Kansas history and culture. Students also had the chance to โ€œopen bank accountsโ€ and learn basic money and banking concepts in a fun and engaging way. ๐Ÿ’ฐ๐Ÿฆ To top it all off, everyone enjoyed a relaxing wagon ride around the farmstead! ๐Ÿšœ

Field trips like these create lasting memories while bringing classroom learning to life. Thank you to our staff, volunteers, and families who helped make this special day possible for our students! โค๏ธ๐Ÿ‘

Learning is hands-on and collaborative in Ms. Colterโ€™s class! ๐Ÿงฎโœจ

Our students are working hard on subtracting within 10 by using manipulatives and partnering up to solve problems together. These young mathematicians are building confidence, strengthening their skills, and supporting one another every step of the way!

We love seeing teamwork and problem-solving in action! ๐Ÿ’›

Once upon a timeโ€ฆ our first graders celebrated Fairy Tale Day as they wrapped up their magical unit! โœจ๐Ÿ“š

Students came dressed as kings, queens, and their favorite fairy tale characters, bringing their stories to life right here at school. From crowns to capes, the creativity was truly enchanting!

What a fun and memorable way to celebrate all the reading, learning, and imagination from this unit. Weโ€™re so proud of our little storytellers! ๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‰๐Ÿ“–
