Dear KCKPS Families,

The KidZone Program at KCKPS was originally scheduled to begin Thursday, August 20.

However, due to the powerful and damaging storms that occurred late Tuesday night, the start of the program has been postponed to Monday, August 24.

We appreciate your patience, understanding, and flexibility as we make this adjustment.

We look forward to welcoming students to KidZone on Monday!

"You come in here and you're going to shoot on your own for an hour. And Ochai Agbaji will get more done in one minute than you will in 60. Because everything he does is game speed." - Bill Self

This is Ochai. Kansas City native. Kansas Jayhawk. National champion. NBA player.

Wednesday, August 5, he's on the floor at the KCK Youth Basketball Academy at Kensington Gymnasium with KCK kids, ages 8 to 14, who are willing to work hard.

For our scholar-athletes, this is more than a visit. It's a day with someone Bill Self himself points to when he wants to teach his own guys what work really is.

Grateful to Ochai and to , whose mission to empower Kansas City youth through the power of sports aligns with everything ShareWaves is building.
