EITH DONATIONS. that should have saved slaughter bound equine. I would appreciate documentation of such rescues, as word of mouth is insufficient in the rescue adoption process. Genuine rescues operate with transparency and accountability, unlike those that have become mere businesses. Today, it's the authentic efforts that drive individuals to make a difference. You won't see these pretenders begging for volunteers or showcasing progress updates on past rescues. Instead, they focus on scripted productions, like the infamous 'taming of the wild beast' stories that lack substance. Real rescuers prioritize the animals' futures and are limited by space, often having untrained equine available for adoption at no cost with airtight contracts. With modern technology, such as real-time satellite feed and microchips, genuine rescuers can ensure the animals' well-being. The modus operandi of these individuals has remained relatively consistent over the past 50 years, with the primary difference being their increased profitability and brazenness. It is imperative to take action against these perpetrators, as their actions will only be deterred when confronted with consequences. I do not tolerate egregious behavior, and it is essential to address these issues promptly. It is understood that these individuals are not well-respected within their community, with most people viewing them as dishonest and untrustworthy. When interacting with these individuals, it is crucial to maintain a firm stance, as they may attempt to push boundaries. As the availability of horses at sale barns and auctions decreases, it is likely that these individuals will revert to their previous tactics of stealing horses. Implementing measures to hold these individuals accountable, such as imposing penalties, is essential. It is widely acknowledged that approximately 80% of the American public disapproves of the inhumane treatment and slaughter of equine animals. Thousands of horses, once cherished by their owners, have fallen victim to these inhumane practices. These horses, often well-trained and well-cared for, are purchased under false pretenses, only to be sent to slaughter facilities in Mexico, where they command high prices. The general public is often unaware of these deceptive practices.

While there are many reputable rescues, a significant number of high-pressure donation solicitations are, in fact, scams. I have been monitoring the activities of several suspicious organizations, documenting their actions, and plan to submit my findings to the relevant authorities. We have been vigilant in holding slaughter buyers accountable for their actions, documenting and reporting numerous federal transportation violations. It is essential to recognize that no individual or organization is exempt from federal law, regardless of their tax-exempt status, state registration, or USDA recognition. By understanding and enforcing federal equine transportation statutes, we can work towards preventing these inhumane practices.
