Every year, the TRIO programs help thousands of low-income, first-generation students, veterans, and students with disabilities across the country prepare for; enter, and graduate from college. Members of Congress need to know how TRIO has helped the students in their state or district. In order to ensure TRIO programs, continue to receive federal funding we must increase the visibility and support for these programs. Come write a brief message to our senators and congressman encouraging their continued support for all TRiO programs. Pizza and drinks will be provided (while supplies last).

Trio-SSS Students have had a blast in November attending Dinner Detective and KC Sporting Game. Congratulations to our very own Sara Eckinger for being the top sleuth (even though we are pretty sure she is really the top suspect and just trying to throw us of her trail by "figuring out" the case). We loved getting to hang out with you @upwardbound_achieve and @au_upwardbound

The Royals couldn't pull out a win last night but we had a great time anyways.

Had a great week with our SSS Bridge students! We spent time learning about campus resources, class schedules, degree audits, vision mapping, and just getting to know each other while having a good time!

Tomorrow is the big day graduates and our final Senior Spotlight is Megan Anthony!

Megan is graduating with her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Finance AND Management with a minor in Psychology.

What does graduation mean to Megan? "Graduation to me means breaking generational curses. Being the one opening a door for more opportunities in my family by being the one to accomplish such a great goal. "

What was your favorite TRIO memory? "My favorite TRIO moment is definitely the moment I became a peer coach and started working hand and hand with the students around me. Knowing that I am helping other students that are in a position that I was to keep fighting for their degree and not giving up hope on beating those challenging obstacles "

Post graduation plans? "After graduation I want to become a Financial Advisor and help individuals budget their finances more so that we can see less struggling households. And also open my own non profit organization to help the kids around different neighborhoods "
