Student art, on the road: James (4th grade)’s winning design now wraps a Kansas City Food Hub van, created with Kansas City Public Schools. The Food Hub serves 42 school districts across the region. 🚚🎨

The cafeteria is showcasing seasonal, locally sourced foods so students can taste the flavors they see in the artwork. 🌱

Our Tray of the Day comes from J. A. Rogers Elementary, featuring a delicious slice paired with a colorful variety of fruits and vegetables. A perfect way to end the week on a high note. 🍉🥕

☀️ Reminder: All children 18 and younger can receive FREE breakfast and lunch at our KCPS summer school sites throughout June. No enrollment required — just stop by and enjoy a nutritious meal!

🌞 Summer Meals Start June 3rd!

We’re excited to kick off our Summer Food Service Program beginning June 3rd! Any child 18 and under can visit the locations listed on the flyer to enjoy free breakfast and lunch all month long. Summer Academy enrollment is not required — all kids are welcome 😎

Important reminders:
🍽️ Meals must be eaten on site
📚 Parent pick‑up is not allowed
❌No meal service on June 16, 19, and 25 due to World Cup events and the Juneteenth holiday

Today our cafeterias celebrated with one of the student favorites — Walking Tacos!

Southeast High School brought the flavor with a beautiful Tray of the Day featuring crunchy Doritos, seasoned beef, nacho cheese, fresh toppings, and all the festive vibes.

Our teams had a blast serving this special menu item and giving students a fun way to celebrate the day! 🪇
