Our Willow tree has provided years of playful learning to our students. This winter it started showing signs of decay. Willnitz Tree Care came this morning to cut her down. They were so respectful of our property. They even cut stumps for us and left some logs so that our students can continue to learn from the willow.

One of our parents wrote this a few years ago and recently shared it with us. It is a wonderful feeling to know that we help our parents as well as our children.

Today, we celebrated our Willow tree. The tree has been a big part of our time outside. Unfortunately, it is not well and will soon need to be taken down. We had charcuterie trees, read books about trees, and shared writings from our older students about the tree.
If you know a certified arborist, please message us their information; we want someone who will take good care of our Willow as it has taken care of us over the years.

Especially in the first 3 years.
Family home care provides children with what they need more efficiently than large centers with high turnover rates.

Responsibilities:
• Provide oversight and care for children, which includes but is not limited to: Feeding and changing diapers.
• Model positive behavior.
• Observe children and enhance the environment to meet their needs and interests.
• Work as a team with co-workers.
• Communication with parents as necessary

Requirements:
Must be able to pass a background check and have a valid ID for fingerprinting (required)
CPR and/or Pediatric first aid or be willing to complete within 1 month of employment.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• You must be able to get up and down off the floor, lift up to 25lbs.

These are the skills that prepare a child for learning.

As the children grow and change, our environment changes too.
We currently have a lot of toddlers who love singing the ABC song.
This rug will help them visualize the letters as we sing them.

We often have higher expectations for children than we do for ourselves. Adults get angry, sad, frustrated and overwhelmed. We are allowed to express how we feel but we often want children to be calm and happy all the time.

Let's bring play back to school.
