Our mission: to teach, to inspire, and to empower young singers to be life-long music makers who seek excellence in everything they do.
The Youth Chorus of Kansas City seeks to give a bright, vibrant, and exciting voice to young singers throughout the entire metro area. YCKC is newly formed, and seeking the most enthusiastic young singers. The first rehearsal will take place in September of 2017. The Youth Chorus of Kansas City was founded to provide students with the opportunity to pursue excellence through outstanding performance, to grow their skills and abilities, and to become leaders in their respective schools.

Chorale and Vocal Artists will be there singing our national anthem, under the direction of Jana Houston! They prepared this piece arranged by composer-in-residence Ryan Main in just TWO rehearsals. 😳

Join Mrs. Houston for high level singing and high level fun! YCKC’s Chorale choir kicks off THIS weekend- but it’s not too late to join!
Chorale has some incredible performances coming up this year, including both the Kauffman Center and Kauffman Stadium, AND students in grades 8-12+ are eligible to be part of our Ireland Tour Choir heading to the Dublin Choral Festival in June 2027!
