💜 OUTSTANDING ALUMNAE OF THE YEAR AWARD
In 2012, Notre Dame de Sion High School established the first alum award to be presented annually to a Sion alumna who exudes excellence in his or her career or dedication to the community and the school. The award is named after the first recipient, Sheila Hughes Weiford ‘66, for her countless hours of service to Sion.

💜 OUTSTANDING YOUNG ALUMNAE OF THE YEAR AWARD
This award will be presented annually to a Notre Dame de Sion High School alumna who is 5-20 years from graduation and exemplifies excellence in her profession, her community, or dedication to the school.

💜 It’s with a mix of sadness and deep gratitude that we share news of the passing of Dennis Conaghan. He was a beloved member of the Sion community - having taught at Sion for 43 years before retiring in 2020. During his time at Sion, he taught personal finance, Holocaust studies, and geography, and also served as Athletic Director.

He was deeply loved by his students and colleagues alike. His sense of humor and his love of teaching made a lasting impression on our community.

We will continue to remember Dennis with affection and appreciation for all he gave to Sion.
