Congratulations to Preschool teacher Nate Smith, recipient of the 2026 Class of 1960 Award for Teaching Excellence at Pembroke Hill School!

Established by alumni to honor extraordinary educators who challenge, inspire and support students in ways that last a lifetime, this award recognizes a faculty member who exemplifies the very best of teaching. Selected through nominations from fellow faculty and staff, Nate was praised by colleagues for his ability to meet every child where they are, see each student as an individual, and inspire a lifelong love of learning through his fierce dedication to early childhood education and kind spirit.

The award also includes a stipend for professional development to further enrich classroom learning. Congratulations, Nate, and thank you for the incredible impact you make on our youngest learners every day!

World Cup fever has arrived at Pembroke Hill Summer Programs!

As excitement builds for today's kickoff, our students are getting into the spirit by sharpening their soccer skills, designing their own team kits and even building their own stadiums. Through creativity, teamwork and play, they're celebrating the world's biggest sporting event while learning about the global community it brings together.

We're thrilled for Kansas City to welcome visitors from around the world and can't wait to be part of the energy and excitement the World Cup will bring to our city. Let the games begin!

While students are off enjoying summer vacation, many members of our community are still hard at work on campus — including our incredible Facilities team.

From preparing classrooms and maintaining our beautiful campuses to tackling countless behind-the-scenes projects, their work helps make everything we do at Pembroke Hill possible. In this video, created by Krish Dua ’28, members of our Facilities staff share what they enjoy most about their work and what makes the Pembroke Hill community so special.

Thank you to these unsung heroes for the care, dedication and pride they bring to campus every day.
