UMKC Rowing

Thank you to everyone who came out to the boatyard for our friends and family event this weekend! We had a great time paddling in the rain and showing you how much fun rowing is.

Our Family and Friend Learn to Row is this afternoon from 4-7 pm at the KCRC Boatyard in Wyandotte! Everyone is welcome. Come on out to experience rowing, support our organization, and take some gorgeous sunset pictures like those below. The weather has turned chilly so please come dressed in layers if you plan to row!

Due to high likelihood of thunderstorms and strong wind, the family and friend learn to row has been moved to next Friday, 10/4. We hope to see you all then!

Ready OAR not, our UMKC Crew Learn to Row event is tomorrow from 4-7 pm! We're located at the KCRC Boatyard at Wyandotte County Lake. The schedule for the afternoon will include a boatyard tour, practice on our erg machines, and rowing on the lake with our team! We'll also have t-shirts, scarves, and stickers available for purchase. Come on out to enjoy the beautiful weather and learn a fun new skill.

In the event of a rain cancellation, the event will be moved to next Friday, October 4th.

Friends, family, and supporters of UMKC Crew: this is for you! We will be hosting our annual Friends and Family Learn to Row on September 27th from 4-7 pm. Stop by to support our team, see the boatyard, and row in one of our boats. Friends of all ages are welcome to attend, but rowers must be 14 years or older to enter a boat. There is a suggested donation of $5 for boat entry, and team apparel will also be available for purchase! Please reach out to us if you have any further questions.

Spring is here- even if our Missouri weather seems to have some trouble deciding- which calls for spring cleaning! UMKC Rowing is here to help you with whatever you're working on, including yard work, moving old items out of the house to donate, and more. Our crew would like to take a minute to show our appreciation for Jane Anderson Sparks, for donating the most awesome gear to start our spring season! She and her company hooked us up with a much needed tent, flag, and tablecloth for regattas and recruiting, as well as a ton of stickers and goodies to hand out to all our supporters! Our team couldn’t function without people like Jane, as we are a non profit rowing team that functions off of donations, and our rent-a-rower jobs. Any donations we receive go such a long way, and so thank you from the bottom of our hearts to Jane and all of the supporters of the UMKC Crew!
