Join Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® Beta Omega Chapter as we celebrate the life, impact, and enduring legacy of pioneering journalist Lucile Bluford, a distinguished member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® Beta Omega Chapter, whose courage, excellence, and commitment to truth helped shape the course of journalism and civil rights history.

From beautification projects and literacy activities to intergenerational engagement and a special birthday celebration, there’s something for everyone to enjoy and learn.

✨ Did you know? July 1 is officially recognized as Lucile Bluford Day in Missouri, honoring her extraordinary contributions to journalism, education, and equal opportunity. We invite the community to join us as we celebrate her remarkable legacy and the lasting impact she continues to have on future generations.
