Every child is different. Their treatment should be, too. â¤ď¸
At KcATC, we take the time to truly get to know each child so that their treatment plan is built around them. Their strengths, interests, needs, goals, and the things that matter most to their family.
We spend 1:1 time with each child within their group setting, allowing us to see how they interact, communicate, learn, and engage with others.
We also have the opportunity to see children in familiar environments, including at home, where we can observe interactions with parents, siblings, pets, and the routines that make up their everyday lives.
We ask questions like:
⨠What skills would you love to see your child gain over the next 6 months?
⨠What goals are most important to you and your family?
⨠What skills could be true âgame changersâ for your child across different environments?
Sometimes those game-changing skills look like learning to request what they want, staying engaged with an activity for longer, comfortably being near peers, sharing, communicating their needs, or developing skills that help them participate more independently in everyday life.
Because treatment shouldnât just focus on what happens during a session.
We want the skills your child learns to make a meaningful difference at home, at school, in the community, and wherever life takes them.
Individualized treatment starts with getting to know the whole child. â¤ď¸
