Park Hill South Color Guard

Color Guard Try-Outs will be April 16, 18, 20, 23, 25, and 27 from 3:00-5:30 at PHS. Its a Monday, Wednesday, Friday thing....going over 2 weeks. The 27th will be the actual Auditions! I look forward to seeing you all there! Make sure to bring your friends!!! : )

Auditions for Fall Color Guard are coming up! There are a couple things Id like you all to respond about!

1. I am making a Recruitment Video to be played the week before Try-Outs start. Part of the video will be a speaking part...with you all saying what Color Guard is about. I would love for ALL of you to be in it. I can video you saying the "script" any Tuesday or Thursday at Lakeview after the Color Guard Intramerals. Around 4:00!

2. I would like to meet with everyone before Try-Outs start. You all will be the "Core" of the Color Guard this year and it will be YOU guy who make the season a great success. So, I want to talk about Leadership and how to teach the "Rookies" during Try-Outs and through out the season. So, let me know what day would work best for you! Looks like me might have to work around our Soccer kids!

Change of plan!

Again, I still REALLY want you all to be able to perform and look AWESOME at the assembly this Friday!

Because of the Band Concert this Thursday, I would like to practice on this Wednesday from 2:30-5:00. Diana is checking to see if she and Alyse can miss Soccer that day. I need EVERYONE to let me know if this works. I need you ALL there if we are going to perform for the Assembly!

I have 2 extra t-shirts (a Small and a Medium) if anyone wants to buy them. They were $12 I believe...and I will be putting the money in our PHS Activities Account. I also have 2 extra hoodies (both Large) if anyone wants one of those. They were $41 I think.

As of now I would still like to have you all perform at the Pep Assembly on Friday, March 30th! Lendon can not perform with us, he will be gone from school that day. But as long as EVERYONE else can attend the practice on Thursday, March 29th from 6-9 then we can perform that next day! I need to see 10 responces so I know we are a GO for this! It will be a GREAT recruitment opportunity for us!

The WGI Regional is at Staley High School this Saturday!

Prelims start at 9:30 and go till about 4:30! So there are LOTS of guards to watch! You will see a wide range of Winter Guard (from a Middle School group to a Independent Open group) if you watch all/most of Prelims. It cost $15 (per person) to get into Prelims.

Finals starts at 7:00 and goes till 10:00. Its a little late but they are the best guards of the day!!! I would highly suggest you and your parents going to Finals! It cost $15 (per person) to get into Finals.

If you want to see both Prelims AND Finals it is $22 (per person). So I know it is a little expesive....but it really is a great day of Winter Guard!

Please text me if you are going....I will be there ALL day and would love to see you and hear what groups you like and answer any questions you might have!
