Member spotlight is a new way our chapter will be highlighting and celebrating oncology nurses that are making a difference with volunteer work and professional achievement. Our first spotlight is on Gloria Solis. In addition to the work she does every day as Senior Nursing Director at the University of Kansas Cancer Center, Gloria is also fundraising for the American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge as a “Shavee”. Gloria explains “I can’t say that I know what it feels like to receive a cancer diagnosis so I’m going to find out what it’s like to shave my head in honor of those that have.” Learn more about Gloria’s Shave to Save campaign by visiting https://secure.acsevents.org/site/STR/ACTIVEFundraising/CFPCY22NOR?px=57716029&pg=personal&fr_id=102323
