On October 8, 2012, at 12:00 noon in the Thompson Courtroom, Missouri Supreme Court Judge Zel Fischer will speak on the topic of statutory interpretation as it relates to the legislative process. Judge Fischer is a 1988 graduate of UMKC School of Law. He was elected Associate Circuit Court Judge in Atchison County in November of 2006. He was appointed to the Missouri Supreme Court in October 2008.
