KCU joins the nation in mourning the passing of Dr. William G. Anderson, a trailblazer in osteopathic medicine and a leader in the civil rights movement.
Dr. Anderson made history as the first Black president of the American Osteopathic Association and dedicated his life to advancing health care, serving his community and advocating for equality.
In 2017, Dr. Anderson visited KCU to share his story, experiences and wisdom with our community. His message left a lasting impression on the students, faculty and staff who had the opportunity to hear from him and learn from his remarkable life.
