Did you know UMKC Conservatory used to have an accordion program?
Joan C. Sommers established the program in 1961 and taught it for forty years, and directs the UMKC Community Accordion Ensemble, most of whom are alumni of UMKC.
UMKC Music/Media Library still has a selection of accordion scores that can be checked out.
