Para Las Ninas de Honduras Foundation

Loreta began her journey with Para Las Ninas de Honduras Foundation in 2013 when she was the first girl selected as recipient of an educational scholarship to attend Instituto Adventista Utila. Today, that same sweet, shy girl from Pigeon Cay graduated from UNH with a degree in Nursing. Loreta has been one of the shining stars of the Foundation. Smart and dedicated, she earned the honors she received today. We are so proud of you Loreta!! Your future is so bright. Go make the world better place ❤️

This smart and beautiful young woman (Para Las Ninas’ scholarship recipient number nine!) graduated last Wednesday from Instituto Adventista Utila. It was a very proud moment for the Foundation. Just as importantly, she has been accepted for further studies at the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Honduras (UNAH)!!! Congratulations Gisell Murillo Benitez. You have a very bright future awaiting you!

Congratulations Sheyla Sanchez, 3 year PLN scholarship recipient who studied very hard during difficult times of alternative education and on-line learning, and graduated today! Time to spread your wings and soar Sheyla! We are so proud of the smart, poised, intelligent young woman that you are!

A Special congratulations to co-graduate, Vielka Isabella Hernandez Hinds, who is PLN’s most recent selection as collegiate scholarship recipient to UNADENIC Adventist University, beginning next month. PLN is honored to assist these bright Honduran girls reach their academic dreams. These are the same type girls whom, given opportunity and resources, will proudly go on to change the world. Happy day graduates!!

The bright and beautiful recipients of 2020 educational scholarships through Para Las Ninas de Honduras Foundation. Even under difficult circumstances due to Covid restrictions and on-line studies, the girls have continued to excel in their educational endeavors. Forever proud of these smart, deserving young ladies!

2020, a year no one will forget. Even under the added pressures of a global pandemic, the PLNH scholarship recipients found alternative ways of studying and ALL the girls brought home remarkable grade point averages! To Loreta, Sheyla and Macy, the Foundation could not be more proud of the smart, dedicated, and determined young women that you've proven to be! Keep reaching for the stars!

Loreta Figueroa was the first Para Las Ninas scholarship recipient in 2013 and began her journey with the Foundation in the 9th grade. She continues to be the Foundation’s shining star and has proven that hard work and opportunity can change lives. Today, she is in her 2nd year of Nursing School at CURLA in La Ceiba Honduras and has moved into the clinical portion of her training. PLN is grateful for the many financial donors over the years that have made this dream of Loreta’s possible. Honduras will be getting a dedicated, caring licensed Nurse in 3 years! Keep up the hard work Loreta! You’ve earned this honor and we are so proud of you!
