“I choose to financially give back to the UMKC School of Law because of the invaluable individual attention and mentorship I received from my professors during my time there. Their dedication to my education and professional development played a crucial role in shaping my career, and I recognize that I would not be where I am today without the strong foundation provided by the school. Supporting UMKC is my way of ensuring that future students can benefit from the same level of guidance and support that made a significant difference in my life.”

Andrew Snavely (J.D. ‘05)

“My LL.M. experience at UMKC was instrumental in shaping my career as a diplomat," said Israa Daas. "The program provided me with a strong foundation in legal research and writing, equipping me with the skills to analyze complex international law issues with precision and clarity. Through my coursework, I learned to craft legal arguments effectively—an ability that has been crucial in my work on Palestine’s cases before the International Court of Justice. UMKC not only strengthened my expertise in international law but also gave me the confidence and tools to navigate high-stakes legal and diplomatic challenges.”

One of our most recent graduates looked a little different than the rest of his classmates. Nugget, the service dog of Rebekah Arwood (J.D. '26), received a "juris dogtor" in recognition of his time at UMKC School of Law. Nugget has attended classes and student activities with Rebekah for the last two years and was a familiar, welcome face to many on campus. We'll miss his happy presence and wagging tail, but we know Rebekah and Nugget will do great things!
