Cristo Rey Kansas City High School is a Roman Catholic high school founded by the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth in 2006 as a part of the Cristo Rey Network of schools. Our Mission

Today was a special one for our seniors—it was their last first day of corporate work study! 💛 💜

From their first days as freshmen to now, our seniors have grown in confidence, professionalism, and leadership through their corporate work study experiences. Today, they headed off to begin the final chapter of this incredible journey.

This morning, we sent off our freshmen for their first day of corporate work study! 🎉

There were plenty of nerves and excitement as they headed out to begin their first jobs, but we know they’re ready to take on the challenge. We can’t wait to see all they’ll learn, the connections they’ll make, and the confidence they’ll build along the way.

Please join us in welcoming Danelle Bender to the Cristo Rey KC Board of Trustees!

A University of Notre Dame graduate, Danelle began her career at Morgan Stanley in Chicago before returning home to Kansas City, where she held corporate development roles at Sprint and Embarq. She then spent almost 17 years at Dairy Farmers of America, ultimately as the cooperative's Senior Vice President, Chief Treasury Officer. Outside of work, Danelle lives in Shawnee with her husband and son and remains deeply connected to the Kansas City community. She serves as Board Chair Emeritus of The Children’s Place and on the board of ACG Kansas City. Her leadership has been recognized with honors including Ingram’s “40 Under Forty” and the Kansas City Business Journal’s “Woman of Influence.”

We’re thrilled to welcome Danelle to the Board and look forward to the experience, leadership, and community commitment she brings to our organization!
