We featured Elaine and Jose in a VPR POP Talk episode in early 2020, where they shared their story of love, faith, and resilience while navigating life with Alzheimer's disease. The entire Belardo family is in our thoughts and prayers.

We continue the second season of VPR POP Talk with Tim Grimes. Tim was 28 years old when he received the diagnosis of stage 4 melanoma, an aggressive form of skin cancer. Tim’s prognosis was dire, with only 12-14 months to live. He reached out to his personal network for support and was embraced by his community AND the KC Royals. With their support and the support of a world-class medical team and treatments, Tim is in remission… 6 years later! Take a few minutes to listen to Tim’s story. His fantastic attitude, suggestions for living through a worst case scenario, and perspective on how life changes after beating the odds are inspiring

The American Nurses Association has expanded Nurses Week to the entire month of May. We join communities here and around the world in celebrating our dedicated nurses, along with all our frontline healthcare professionals. Nurse Maria P. from New York, NY, recently shared an inspiring video with us and we thought you'd be moved by it too. As Maria recovered from Covid19, anxious to return to her duties caring for her patients, she captured the soaring sound of her neighbor's gratitude.
