2101 Garfield, Kansas City, Missouri
Help Keep Kansas City Beautiful plant 60 trees in Monarch Manor on the former site of the Kansas City Municipal Stadium. The storms cut our tree planting blitz short last weekend, so we need help wrapping it up! We are expecting cool sunny weather! Community volunteers will work alongside residents in the urban core of Kansas City, Missouri. The trees will serve the community in a number of ways: provide shade, clean the air, reduce stress, increase property values and deter crime. Several volunteer opportunities are available: help with set-up and volunteer check-in, or plant trees. This event was made possible with generous support from the Lowe’s Charitable and Educational Foundation.
