Last year we started up an Adult Learner's Reading Group. It was a lot of fun and seemed very successful. We'd like to offer a similar opportunity starting in September once again. However, we may be facing some challenges. We were fortunate enough to be able to have our sessions in the studio lobby at KC Strings. If you haven't heard, the current building has been sold to the City of Merriam. KC Strings will be moving down the street, but it is undetermined yet whether or not a space for these events will be available, and exactly when the move will take place. So, here are some points we are needing or considering going forward.
1. A low, or no cost alternative location either to start with in September of to move to at some point in 2027.
2. Also, possibly opening the group up to younger cellists as well who are home-schooled, or in a private school, where group music is not available.
3. Adding additional sessions to twice a month instead of once a month.
4. Adding a concert at the end of the season in Spring 2027.

We found out earlier today that the registration for our June 13 event had closed yesterday on the Ticketspice registration page. This was not our intent.
