We’re excited to invite our 5th grade families to a special Question & Answer Session with Amy Gallawa, PTA President from Plaza Middle School!

This informal conversation is a great opportunity for parents to hear directly from a Plaza Middle School parent leader and gain helpful insight into what to expect as your child transitions to middle school.

Students are welcome to attend with their parent.

🎉Our Chinn Staff is simply the 𝐁𝐄𝐒𝐓, and we loved celebrating them! 🎉

We started with a 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐤 𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡 to honor their efforts in our students' 𝐍𝐖𝐄𝐀 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐭𝐡 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 and the intentional work they’ve done to 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬.

Then we rolled right into a full week of appreciation:

We are incredibly proud to share that 𝐋𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐃𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐤 has been named a 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢 𝐏𝐓𝐀 𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫! Her film, 𝘉𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨, advanced from the school level at Chinn to the state competition, where she earned 𝟏𝐬𝐭 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐦 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐬 𝐊–𝟐.

Lavender’s piece now moves on to the 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐓𝐀 𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 to compete against other first‑place entries from across the country. 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐲.

This is an outstanding accomplishment, and we’re cheering Lavender on as her creative work continues to shine at the national level. 🌟

The weather is looking great for our 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐫 𝐑𝐮𝐧 𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐰, 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝟐𝟒𝐭𝐡, 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝟓:𝟑𝟎–𝟕:𝟎𝟎 𝐏𝐌.

We can’t wait to celebrate together on the Chinn track!

• 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐫 𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐬 will be for sale to toss on yourself and friends. Cost: 1 packet for $2, 3 packets for $5

• All gear and color packet sales are 𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐡 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲.

• If you did not participate in collecting donations, please bring $𝟓 cash for the entry fee. Entry is free for students/families that raised money.

• Back door walker gate will be closed for the entirety of the event. Please enter through the front.

Thanks to our amazing community, we’ve raised $𝟖,𝟓𝟕𝟓 toward our $𝟏𝟑,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐠𝐨𝐚𝐥. There’s still time to participate—families can continue to register on FundHub or bring donations to the Chinn office.
