Ruskin Debate took 4 Novice debaters to Wyandotte high school for our first tournament of the year!

Jaiden and Ikenna competed in Novice Congressional Debate and Trey and Alberto competed in Novice Policy Debate.

These four debaters have never debated before and our Novice Policy Debate Team of Trey/Alberto went undefeated (2-0) and took 4th place!

Ruskin Debate has been busy the past two weeks with Debate KC tournaments at JC Harmon and FL Schlagle high school!

Two NOVICE debaters placed at both VARSITY tournaments, with Jaida taking 5th place at JC Harmon and Roman securing a 1st place Gavel at FL Schlagle!

Overall, we're incredibly proud of these Ruskin debaters as they continue to grow and challenge themselves to get better each week!

Incredibly proud of ALL these young women! Tonight at the Rockhurst Novice invitational, our Congressional Debate Team had a sixth place speaker (Mar'Sha), and 1st place speaker (Jaida) respectively!

Great start to your debate careers ladies! All of these women gave speeches over real world issues and I couldn't be more excited for what's to come for them! Let's keep building on this! Way to go, Eagles! Can't stop smiling!

CONGRATULATIONS TO ANDREA MORFIN VALENCIA FOR AN EXCELLENT SHOWING AT RAYTOWN HIGH SCHOOL'S "LAST BLAST" DEBATE TOURNAMENT!!

At her first tournament this year, Andrea showcased her self-made Affirmative case in Lincoln-Douglas Debate, going 1-1 in the Win-Loss column with it!
